Originally from Manchester, England, Asa Beard is an elite boxing, soccer, and performance coach and former professional athlete with decades of experience training athletes at every level — from the grassroots to world champions. Guided by faith, discipline, and a commitment to excellence, Asa brings both elite-level knowledge and strong values into every aspect of his coaching.
Asa began playing soccer at the age of four and boxing at seven, developing a lifelong passion for athletic performance and competition. By just 16 years old, he was already training fighters and athletes in soccer, boxing, and strength and conditioning while pursuing a dream as an athlete. After becoming a professional football (soccer) player, Asa graduated college with degrees in Business, Personal Training, and Leisure & Tourism, further solidifying his foundation in both performance and leadership.
Throughout his career, Asa has worked with and trained alongside some of the most respected names in combat sports history, including Manny Pacquiao, Freddie Roach, Floyd Mayweather Sr., Floyd Mayweather Jr., Roger Mayweather, Jeff Mayweather, Derick James, and Ricky Hatton. He has spent extensive time learning and coaching at world-renowned gyms including Mayweather Boxing Club, Wild Card Boxing Club, Kronk Gym, Top Rank Boxing Club, and many more.
Athletes Asa has worked with include multiple current and former world champions such as Steve "2 Pound" Forbes (IBF World Champion), Fransisco "El Gato" Figueroa (NABF Champion), Argenis "La Tormenta" Mendez (IBF World Champion), Anthony "The Tiger" Hanshaw (IBO Champion), Jimmy Kilrain Kelly (WBO Inter-Continental Champion), William Silva (NBA World Lightweight Champion), and many others.
Beyond titles and accolades, Asa is deeply passionate about helping others, mentoring athletes, and changing lives through discipline, fitness, and leadership. His faith influences his commitment to integrity, servant leadership, and helping athletes reach their God-given potential — inside and outside the ring.
Asa currently lives in the States with his wife Angie and their children, whose support and partnership have been central to his journey as he continues to build champions, develop athletes, and give back through coaching and service.
